Jack Doherty, the YouTube influencer known for prank and stunt videos, was arrested Friday, Sept. 4, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
According to jail records, Doherty, 22, was arrested on domestic violence battery charges.
Doherty was allegedly in a physical dispute with an unidentified woman at a home on Southwest 5th Court, police reportedly told CBS News.
Doherty is being held at the Broward County jail. His bond is pending. In Florida, anyone arrested on domestic violence charges must appear before a judge before a bond can be set.
It's not Doherty's first Florida arrest. In 2025, Doherty was arrested in Miami after he was found disrupting traffic to film content for his social media channel. When officers went through Doherty’s pockets, they
pulled out what they believed was an amphetamine and cannabis.
What is domestic battery in Florida?
Domestic violence battery in Florida is when a standard battery offense involves family or household members.
According to Florida law, a battery occurs when a person actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other or intentionally causes bodily harm to another person.
The alleged victim cannot "drop the charges" in domestic violence cases, as the charges are brought by the State of Florida, and not the victim, according to the Ansara Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale.
