The luxury segment of Palm Beach County's real estate scene is thriving, and it seems that the growth will remain non-stop.
According to a study by real estate company RedFin, sales of homes in the higher-end
category over the summer months in the West Palm Beach metropolitan area increased by 43.9% year over year. On top of that, the median price of a luxury home in this West Palm area reached around $4.52 million with pending luxury sales up by 20.1%.
On top of those numbers, as of August 2026, Palm Beach County recorded 170 residential sales above $10 million, and that momentum won't be stopping anytime soon, said local real estate agent Christie Di Lemme.
"Our area has grown so much and it's changing every single day...so when this Redfin article came out, it really captured (my team and I's) attention," said Di Lemme, who published an online analysis in EINPresswire based off the Redfin report's numbers.
Palm Beach County has experienced a surge in the number of companies, executives and employees moving here since the coronavirus pandemic, and the wealth they are bringing with them. The migration of brands, people and money has added muscle to the Wall Street South moniker employed by corporate recruiters and others.
"You're looking at what Related Ross has done in our area and bringing in all of the financial firms and the new businesses and we have so many people coming to our area," Di Lemme said
Di Lemme, in fact, has been seeing is more people pay for their houses in cash, meaning they have more than average disposable income and many are not concerned about mortgage rates.
Unlike the 20th century's migration of retirees to Florida, Di Lemme said this people surge is much younger.
"You're having people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, they're bringing their families and their extended families so they're looking for housing," she said. "And we're not just talking about West Palm Beach metro. That's West Palm Beach, Boca (Raton), Delray (Beach), Boynton (Beach), Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, all of these Palm Beach County communities."
