MIAMI GARDENS ― Pads and fans were out in force Monday (Aug. 3) at Miami Dolphins training camp.
Highlight performers:

Fins up
S Omar Brown
Made a nice read on a pass over the middle by Cam Miller, hauling it in for an interception.
RB Ollie Gordon
Made a nice move up the middle in traffic for a good gain. Of course it’s always subjective without live tackling to the ground, but it is significant that Gordon showed elusiveness and isn’t strictly a power back.
RT Charlie Heck
Heck got some extended snaps on this day in place of the presumed starter for the regular season, veteran Austin Jackson.
K Zane Gonzalez
Gonzalez and incumbent Riley Patterson both made their 50-yard field-goal tries at the end of practice, but Patterson later missed from 43. Gonzalez didn't miss. Patterson bounced back by making one from 52,
but Gonzalez matched it.
Fins down
CB JuJu Brents
On the second snap of 11-on-11 drills, Malik Willis faked a handoff and had plenty of time to survey downfield. When he did, he saw Malik Washington breaking into the clear behind the secondary. Willis led Washington for a long completion as the normally reliable Brents took a bad angle on the play.
