The West Palm Beach nightclub Camelot is closing after more than a decade downtown.
The club, which sat on Narcissus Avenue just south of Clematis Street since opening in 2014, announced the closure Sept. 15.
"After 12 amazing years of unforgettable nights and memories, this will be Camelot's final weekend," the nightspot announced on social media. "Thank you for every visit, every celebration, every late night, and every memory made with us.”
The club is operated by SubCulture Group, which in April sold the building where the club is located for $3 million.
Camelot's closure comes two weeks after SubCulture owner Rodney Mayo told The Palm Beach Post he is "on a three-month plan to retire and work with dogs exclusively."
The club said it is planning
“an official closing party” on Saturday, Sept. 19.
“Join us one last time as we celebrate the end of an era, with our official closing party on September 19th,” the post said. “Thank you for 12 amazing years."
Camelot is just the latest downtown nightspot to close this year.
In August the upscale eatery Mystic Table, on Clematis Street just around the corner from Camelot, abruptly shut its doors after just six months of operations.
The month before, Grease Burger Bar closed after a 17-year run on the same block.
