MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins are back at it for Day 6 of training camp, although coach Jeff Hafley revealed before the workout that right tackle Austin Jackson will be out with a short-term injury.
The offensive line struggled after Jackson came out of the Day 5 workout. Jackson's absence afforded Charlie Heck an extended look.
Jackson, of course, has a long injury history and had recently talked about his desire to play every game this season.
Jackson played 16 games in 2023 but otherwise has not played more than eight games in a season over the past four years. His only 17-game season came in 2021.
- The Dolphins began practice with periods of stretching but will head outside to the usual August heat.
