TGLwill bring out its marquee golfers when its third season tees off with a doubleheader against the NFL on Sunday, Dec. 27.

The two opening matches will include the debut of Brooks Koepka and Motor City Golf Club (Detroit) vs. Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf at 1 p.m. on ESPN. That match will be followed by Tiger Woods and his Jupiter Links Golf Club vs. the defending champion Los Angeles Golf Club in a rematch of last season's title match at 3 p.m. on ABC

Woods, who last played competitive golf in the TGL final in March, could be seeing his first action on the golf course in the TGL opener unless he decides to compete with his son, Charlie, in the PNC Championship in Orlando the weekend before.

Tiger Woods of Jupiter Links GC congratulates Justin Rose of Los Angeles Golf Club who won the TGL finals at SoFi Center on March 24, 2026, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

TGL had solid ratings a year ago on opening day

against the NFL for the first time, earning a rating 30 percent higher than the league's average for its first season. Having Woods, Koepka and McIlroy all competing should help boost the ratings against the NFL's late Sunday games.

The entire TGL third season schedule will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 27 for the competition held at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens.

Last March, LA - featuring Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sahith Theegala - defeated Jupiter 2-0 with Woods playing in the final match alongside Tom Kim and Max Homa.
