The Miami Dolphins are 0-5 and heading toward the first pick in the NFL Draft.
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will be getting at least a $12.5 billion infusion of cashfrom Chilean billionaire Jean Eric Salata for 2.1 percent of the team and its affiliated businesses.
But the Dolphins are raising ticket prices 3 percent across the board for the 2027 season, according to a team spokesperson.
The team kept ticket prices flat in 2026, even reducing the cost of some seats. But many fans are not happy with the news that they will be paying more next season, especially for a team in the midst of a major rebuilding stage.
The Dolphins, who mailed renewals to season ticket holders this week, will be hosting an additional regular-season game next season. Fans
paid for eight regular-season games and two preseason games at Hard Rock Stadium this year; next year, there will be nine regular-season games and one preseason game.
Eric Smith, a Dolphins content creator, disputed that the team did not raise ticket prices in 2026.
"My account must have been missed this season," Smith wrote in an X post. "Because I just looked over my invoices that I can see back to 2024 and my invoice has increased in every season (including this season) despite the play on the field not matching."
Another Dolphins content creator upset with the ticket increase is podcaster Brittney Lurie of Sideline Tea.
"the absolute AUDACITY the Miami Dolphins have by sending out a STH (season ticket holder) renewal email WITH RAISED MEMBERSHIP RATES!!," Lurie posted on X followed by four crying emojis.
On the other hand, Longtime Dolphins fan Ian "Big E" Berger posted on X that "My ticket prices went up $6 per game. No complaints here!!"
The Dolphins have played only two home games this season, averaging 58,719 fans for the Kansas City and Cincinnati games. That puts them 31st in the NFL; the Jacksonville Jaguars, averaging 56,782, are last.
