Heavenly Pizza is the latest in a spike of new businesses opening in Northeast El Paso.
Heavenly Pizza officially opened Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 5254 Rushing Road. The business is locally owned and was formerly Chaser's juice bar.

Manager Mary Uribe enjoyed meeting people walking in for the first time and trying the pizzas and pizzarolas. The pizzarolas are like calzones with people able to choose their ingredients.
We tried a couple: one with mushrooms, jalapeños, and pepperoni, and the other with pepperoni, bell peppers, and pineapple. They are inexpensive at $4 each and a tasty and filling meal.

They offer a variety of pizzas: supreme with a mix of proteins and veggies, meat lover's, pepperoni, and a cauliflower pizza crust variety. Specialty pizzas start
at $16. They do try to have some ready to take pepperoni pizzas for $8.
Right now, the business is mainly a drive-thru with select menu items, or walk-in for full-menu orders to go. They don't have a seating area except for a bar with two stools.
Local residents were happy to see a local pizza place open up and patiently waited for their orders. And the restaurant is still looking for part-time crew members. Check them out on Instagram.

7Brew Coffee open on Dyer Street and Hondo Pass
Northeast El Paso also welcomed 7Brew Drive Thru Coffee in June at 9061 Dyer St.
The company began with a simple mission to revolutionize drive-thru coffee service. Beginning with only seven specialty coffee drinks, 7Brew now offers a wide variety of coffees, energy drinks, fizzes, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes.
The new coffee shop is owned by 7B New Mexico LLC and stands out for being a new 510-square-foot building.
New McDonald's opens on Dyer Street
Business couple Bill and Monika Story opened their fifth McDonald's in March of this year. The new McDonald's is at 8500 Dyer St., across from Sunrise Shopping Center.

"We’re excited to be part of this beautiful community,” William Story said in a press release. “Northeast El Pasohas always been special to me and we’re proud to continue growing here." Bill Story has more than four decades of experience in the restaurant industry, beginning in 1984, when he started as a crew member at McDonald’s on Dyer Street near Northgate. Through hard work and determination, he rose through the ranks to become an owner-operator.
He has built a remarkable 42-year career with McDonald’s. He also owns the McDonald's in Van Horn, one in Fort Stockton, one in Alpine, and the one inside the Walmart on Transmountain Road.
Monika has been a strong partner alongside him on the journey, supporting the growth and success of their business.
