The remnants of Hurricane Polo are moving inland, bringing the threat of heavy rain and strong winds to El Paso.

El Paso and Southern New Mexico remain under a flood watch and a wind advisory until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The area faces a moderate risk of flash flooding and could see wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Gadsden ISD delays classes

Gadsden Independent School District announced a two-hour delay to the start of classes and canceled after-school activities on Tuesday, Sept. 29, because of the storms.

Bus routes are also delayed by two hours.

Regular afternoon dismissal times are still expected, Gadsden ISD said.
