The remnants of Hurricane Polo are moving inland, bringing the threat of heavy rain and strong winds to El Paso.
El Paso and Southern New Mexico remain under a flood watch and a wind advisory until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The area faces a moderate risk of flash flooding and could see wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Gadsden ISD delays classes
11:19 AM ET, September 29 2026, Natassia PalomaGadsden Independent School District announced a two-hour delay to the start of classes and canceled after-school activities on Tuesday, Sept. 29, because of the storms.
Bus routes are also delayed by two hours.
Regular afternoon dismissal times are still expected, Gadsden ISD said.
