El Paso is under a flood advisory because of the possibility of torrential rains that could create localized flooding with rains expected to last until the weekend.
Sandbags are available to El Paso Watercustomers at the following locations, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, Sept. 22-26, El Paso Water stated. Limit 10 sandbags per visit. Be prepared to load your own sandbags.
- Stormwater Operations Center, 4801 Fred Wilson Ave. in the Northeast.
- Artcraft Booster Station, 7830 Paseo Del Norte Blvd. in the West Side.
- Blackie Chesher Park, 1100 N. Zaragoza Road in the Lower Valley.
El Paso County sandbags
The El Paso County Public Works Department offers free sandbags to residents in the rural areas of the county.
The sandbags are available 24 hours a day on pallets outside El Paso County’s Road and Bridge Warehouse locations:
- Fabens, 1331 N Fabens St.
- Canutillo, 191 Canutillo Ave.
- Montana Vista, 14698 Van Lane.
