Education improvements and prudent taxpayer policies will be the focus of Gov. Greg Abbott's visit to El Paso.
The visit on Wednesday, Aug. 19, will include a roundtable with Texas families and taxpayers. He will discuss efforts to make school districts more efficient and ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
Abbott discussed lowering homeownership costs through initiatives in his "Keep Texas Affordable" agenda during a Wednesday, Aug. 5, stop at a home in the Tropicana Homes development in Socorro, Texas.
He is facing Democrat Gina Hinojosa in the November General Election.
Six new polls in the last three weeks show a virtual tie between Hinojosa and Abbott in the race for Texas Governor.
Abbott has not publicly addressed recent polls
in his campaign, choosing to focus on policy rollouts and campaign stops.
