What is the story about?

One of Mexico's most recognizable Mexican soccer players, Javier "Chicharito" Hernández was recognized in El Paso.

A couple of fans posed with Hernández while he stopped at the El Paso County Courthouse in Downtown El Paso on Monday, Sept. 28 and it was shared on Real FitFam's Instagram account.

Hernández, who was a free agent after the Apertura 2025 tournament, is spending more time in Texas having signed a two-year contract with Atlético Dallas. He is expected to make his debut in 2027 and is helping to launch a brand-new Texas professional soccer club.

In his Mexican national team career, he scored 52 goals in 109 appearances, making him the country's all-time leading men's national-team scorer. He played in the 2010, 2014 and 2018 World Cups

and scored in all three tournaments, according to FIFA.

Hernández was an analyst for the 2026 World Cup for Fox Sports.
