Special coins featuring the image of President Donald Trump have already sold out, just hours after their release.
The Semiquincentennial coin design features a portrait of Trump, along with the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “1776 ~ 2026.”
The coins went on sale Sept. 2 and quickly became unavailable.
“This item is available to be ordered now, but it is not currently in stock. Additional inventory is being made,” the U.S. Mint website stated for the 25-coin roll shortly after 3 p.m., according to CNN.
The 100-coin bag was listed as unavailable.
Available in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags, the special-edition $1 coin commemorates the United States’ upcoming 250th anniversary in 2026.
Will there be more Trump $1 coins made?
There has been no official word from the Treasury
Department on whether additional coins will be released.
However, the U.S. Mint website includes a “Remind Me” option that allows customers to sign up for notifications if the product returns to stock.
Where can you buy the Trump coin?
If additional coins become available, they can be purchased through the U.S. Mint website.
