For the second consecutive week, a Dallas team looking to steady itself after an uneven start to the season gets a winless team, this time the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, at home on Thursday Night Football.
The Cowboys' last two games have been thrillers and splitting them (a last-play loss to Baltimore in Rio de Janeiro, a last-minute win at Houston) seems to put them, at 2-2, about where they should be. Tampa Bay has been a major disappointment, though all four of their losses in the 0-4 start have been by a score or less, including their 17-14 loss to Green Bay last week.
The oddsmakers feel Tampa Bay is about to absorb its worst loss of the year, as Dallas is a healthy 8.5-point
favorite as it looks to get over .500 for the first time in 2026.

Bookies.com: Bet the under in Cowboys vs Buccaneers game
Bill Speros writes: "The Bucs have failed to cover in 13 straight games, a Super Bowl Era record of futility. The Pirate Ship took on more water Sunday thanks to a feeble 17-14 loss at home to Green Bay. Rookie Jalon – not Jayden – Daniels flopped in his NFL debut. But the Bucs have a clear path to a top-three draft pick and the potential NFL franchise QB that awaits. Dak and the Cowboys ran their record to 3-1 ATS and proved they weren't the worst team in Texas Sunday. That's something. If the Bucs' defense keeps the Cowboys below 35 points, that should deliver the under here."
