With the 2026-27 high school sports seasonapproaching, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to select El Paso's top athletes and teams.
This week, readers can vote for the Girls Athlete of the Week in volleyball and cross country for the week of Sept. 1-5.

Here are this week's nominees:
- Kylie Vega, Eastwood cross country. She won the Ysleta meet in time of 18:52.
- Stephanie Lozano, Franklin, volleyball. In win vs. El Paso High, she had 22 assists and six digs.
- Anaisabel Orta, Americas volleyball. Against Jefferson, she had 3 kills, 20 assists, 10 digs and 5 aces.
- Jackie Montanez, Montwood volleyball. In win vs. Bel air, she had 17 kills.
- Jazmyne Grimes, Andress volleyball. In win vs. Riverside, she had 16 digs, 15 kills, 4 assists and 3 aces.
- Victoria Dominguez, El Dorado volleyball. In win vs. Andress, she had 20 assists, 6 digs and 3 aces.
- Belle Sanchez, Eastwood volleyball. In two wins last week, she had 28 kills.
- Katelynn Marquez, Del Valle volleyball. In win vs. Canutillo, she had 11 kills, 3 aces and 2 blocks.
- Paty Myres, Chapin volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 38 assists.
- Isabella Madrid, Fabens volleyball. In win vs. YWA, she had 8 kills, 16 digs, 2 aces and 24 digs.
