And that means it's a day to not only enjoy cheeseburgers but also find deals at some of your favorite places.
Dairy Queen wants to reward new and existing DQ members with a free single Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger with any app order of $1 or more on Friday, Sept. 18.

When is National Cheeseburger Day?
National Cheeseburger Day is celebrated Sept. 18 every year.
"There are many theories to the beginning of the cheeseburger dating back to the 1920s. One story suggests that Lionel Sternberger invented the cheeseburger in 1926 while working at his father's Pasadena, California sandwich shop, The Rite Spot," the National

Whataburger National Cheeseburger Day
Whataburger is rewarding its members with a free Bacon & Cheese Whataburger Jr. with the purchase of a medium fries or onion rings on National Cheeseburger Day.
Applebee's
Applebee’s has two delicious ways for guests to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day. Enjoy a Classic Cheeseburger or Classic Burger with fries for just $8.99; available for dine-in and to-go, only available on Friday, Sept. 18.
Applebee's also has a new O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger available for a limited time. Part burger, part quesadilla, the new menu item is available on the 2-for-$25 menu, dine-in only.
McDonald's
Members of the MyMcDonald's Rewards loyalty program can redeem a free double cheeseburger on Friday, Sept. 18 via the McDonald's app, with a minimum purchase of $1.
The company launched SpongeBob x One Piece McDonald's Happy Meal, featuring "SpongeBob SquarePants" toys dressed as "One Piece" characters on Sept. 15.
Burger King
Burger King offers Royal Perks members a free Bacon Cheeseburger with a minimum $3 purchase via the Burger King app and online for pickup orders.
Wendy's
Wendy's will offer Dave's Singles for $1.99 with any purchase for Rewards members through the Wendy's app or website.
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse
On Friday, Sept. 18, get an All American Smash Burger, plus your choice of a personal-size signature Pizookie for only $13 or, for $4 more, upgrade your meal with the Spooky Pizookie.
