Fans arrived in their “Tripicoqueta” outfits for Karol G's concert at the Sun Bowl, bringing the colorful aesthetic surrounding the singer's latest era to life. Warm oranges, pinks and yellows, mixed with earthy browns and neutrals, while floral prints and accessories completed the tropical style.
Karol G celebrated her biggest hits with El Paso fans for two nights, Sept. 5-6, at Sun Bowl Stadium.
The Colombian superstar is on a worldwide tour with "Viajando Por el Mundo Tropitour" hitting many U.S. cities, including Chicago, New York and Miami. Becky G was the special guest for the El Paso shows.
El Pasoan Sandy Jordan attended the concert with her daughter, Natalia Cruz, and her mom, Celia Cruz, who introduced both of them to Karol G’s music.
“My mom, she’s like a top fan of Karol G,” Jordan said. “It’s just a special moment. We get to have this experience together, like all three of us, three generations.”
Jordan said she had waited a long time for the concert and was excited to see Karol G perform for the first time.
Fans delighted in hearing hits like "Latina Foreva," OKI DOKI," and “Tá OK".
El Paso native Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex made a surprise appearance during the concert, joining Karol G onstage to perform their duet, “Después De Ti.”
They previously performed the song together at Coachella earlier this year.
Her shows are as much a feast for the eyes as for the ears, featuring dazzling light displays, fireworks, and towering flames.
She is one of the most in-demand Latin artists, having expanded her tour from 39 cities to more than 60 stadium shows. Multiple cities sold out their initial dates within hours, prompting second, third and fourth stadium shows.
For El Pasoan Laura Chavez, it was her second time seeing Karol G perform live, but she was happy to see the singer in her hometown of El Paso.
“I’m very grateful that we have the opportunity to have her here,” Chavez said in Spanish.
“Her music represents us because it reflects what we feel,” Chavez said in Spanish.
“Sometimes we don’t talk about those feelings, and through music, we’re able to let them out.”
Chavez attended the concert with Berenice Miravete, who traveled from Colorado with her daughter, Genesis Galindo, for Galindo’s first concert.
In addition to her two-night stop in El Paso, she has staged two-night performances in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Miami and Barcelona, Spain.
The tour builds on the legacy of her previous tour, "Mañana Será Bonito World Tour," which sold over 2.3 million tickets and grossed over $300 million, according to Live Nation.
More recently, she headlined at Coachella 2026, where she became the first Latina artist in the festival's history to headline.
