The nonconference schedule has UTEP opening the women's basketball season with six straight home games, including a matchup against New Mexico State.
The non-conference schedule was released Wednesday, Sept. 16. The first-ever Mountain West slate, which opens at New Mexico on Dec. 30, was released in August.
The schedule tips off with a Nov. 2 game against Western New Mexico, then after a Haskins Center game against Incarnate Word on Nov. 7, UTEP hosts their rival Aggies in the first half of the Battle of I-10 on Nov. 10. The return trip comes in the middle of a six-game road-trip that follows the opening home swing when the Miners head to Las Cruses on Dec. 5.
UTEP will also have a tournament
in San Marcos, hosted by Texas State, that will span the holiday, running from Wednesday, Nov. 25 through Saturday, Nov. 28 and including games against Pacific and Bradley.
The 13-player UTEP roster includes three returnees, four true freshmen and six transfers as the Miners look to improve on last season’s 13-17 mark.
