A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the latest death in one of the deadliest weekends on El Paso's streets in recent memory.
At least five people died in three separate traffic collisions on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3, El Paso police spokesman Office Adrian Cisneros said in messages. Police were investigation a fourth collision with serious injuries.
The deadly motorcycle crash occurred about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in the 5200 block of North Desert Boulevard, north of North Mesa Street in West El Paso, Cisneros said.
The identity of the motorcyclist and further details on the crash were not immediately available as an investigation
by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit continued Sunday.
Identities of the persons involved and further details on the weekend's traffic wrecks were not immediately available early Sunday as investigations continued.
One dead in border highway rollover crash
One person died in a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred about 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, on the bordre highway (Loop 375) near the Midway Drive exit in the Riverside area of the Lower Valley, Cisneros said.
Three dead on Redd Road
Three people died in a collision that appeared to involve two pickup trucks at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at the intersection of Redd Road and Southwestern Drive by the Redd Point retail center in West El Paso, police said.
Serious collision on Resler Drive
One person was transported to a hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, on Resler Drive and Orizaba Avenue on the West Side, police said.
The Resler wreck is under investigation by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit, which handles cases with potentially life-threatening injuries. The current condition of the injured person was not available.
