The third week of the 2026 high school football season is in the books and there were several top performances by athletes in El Paso.
Here is a look at 15 of the top performances on Thursday, Sept. 10, and Friday, Sept. 11.
Maurice Edwards, QB, Americas
In win vs. Montwood, he rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He also passed for 201 yards and threw two touchdowns. It was the first win of the season for Americas.
Oscar Hernandez, RB, Pebble Hills
In win vs. Hanks, Hernandez rushed for 164 yards and scored four touchdowns. Pebble Hills is 3-0 on the season.
Andre Ponce, LB, Pebble Hills
Against Hanks, Ponce collected 20 tackles, including six of the solo variety. In addition to the win vs. Hanks, the Spartans have defeated Midland High and Chapin.
Jordan Morales, QB, Hanks
Against Pebble Hills, the senior Morales passed for 398 yards and two TD's and rushed
for 122 yards and two scores.
Adrian Hunt, RB, Socorro
In win vs. Horizon, Hunt rushed for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Socorro has won two straight games.
Eric Hernandez, QB, Del Valle
Hernandez completed 21 of 26 passes and threw for 198 yards in win vs. El Dorado. He also rushed for 34 yards and two scores.
Sylas Reyes, RB, Canutillo
In road victory at Parkland, Reyes rushed for 151 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Eagles scored a season-best 42 points. Canutillo is 2-1 this season.
Joey Van Ert, QB, Anthony
Against Cathedral at home in a 39-21 loss, he threw two touchdown passes and rushed for a score.
Davion Arnette, QB/LB, Jefferson
Against Irvin, Arhette threw two touchdown passes and started at middle linebacker, where he helped the Silver Foxes keep the Rockets scorless in the second half.
Vincent Delgado, QB, San Elizario
In 21-20 win vs. Clint, Delgado rushed for two touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass. San Elizario is 2-1 this season.
Carlos Rojas III, QB, Riverside
In 44-43 home victory vs. Chapin, Rojas rushed for 370 yards and four touchdowns. Riverside has won two straight games.
Eddie Hernandez, DE, Mountain View
In road victory at Alpine, Hernandez had 11 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles in helping the Lobos win their first game.
Rodrigo Martinez, QB, Ysleta
In home victory vs. Fort Stockton, the senior quatrerback rushed for four touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass. The Indians are 3-0.
Julian Williams, QB, Eastlake
In home win vs. Midland Lee, the senior quarterback threw seven touchdown passes and completed 32 of 48 passes. The Falcons are 3-0.
Marquette Beard, WR, Bel Air
Beard helped the Highlanders to their first win of the season with eight catches for 176 yards and two touchdown catches vs. El Paso High.
