A 26-year-old motorcyclist died after he crashed into the back of a pickup truck and was then run over by another truck in far East El Paso, police said.
The deadly collision occurred about 2:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, in the 2300 block of Zaragoza Road near Tierra Este Road, a news release by El Paso police spokeswoman Detective Judy Oviedo stated.
A man, whose name has not been disclosed, was riding a 2019 Honda motorcycle northbound on Zaragoza Road when he hit the back of a northbound 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Caro Magda, 57, police said.
The motorcyclist fell off his bike into the southbound lanes, where he was then struck by a 2020 Ford F150 driven by Marco Estrada, 23, police
said. The motorcyclist died of his injuries.
The police Special Traffic Investigations Unit continues investigating the collision.
This was the 45th traffic-related death in El Paso this year compared with 43 at this time in 2025, according to Police Department figures.
