The 8th Annual Horizon Wine Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 10, at Three Missions Brewery in El Paso.
This year's festival brings together a curated selection of wines, live music, local food vendors, and artisan booths in an outdoor setting. Local winery Zin Valle Vineyards will also be part of the lineup, giving guests a taste of wines made right here in the Paso del Norte region.
Those who like country dancing should check out the Cowboy Boot Day event in Downtown El Paso.
“We’re excited to bring Cowboy Boot Day back to Downtown El Paso for a second year and continue celebrating our community’s Western spirit,” said Parks and Recreation Director Pablo Caballero in a press release. “From the music and dancing to the cowboy boots that
are part of our city’s heritage, this event is a fun way for families, friends and visitors to come together and celebrate what makes El Paso unique.”

Safety Safari
The El Paso Zoo is teaming up with the El Paso Police Department for Safety Safari, a fun and educational event focused on safety and community awareness, starting at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
Families can explore the zoo while taking part in interactive activities, safety demonstrations and educational experiences led by local safety organizations. Children can learn important safety skills while also discovering more about wildlife and conservation. General zoo admission required.
Celebrate National Cowboy Boot Day
The city of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department and Live Active El Paso, in collaboration with the El Paso Ballroom Dance Academy, invite the community to kick up their heels and celebrate National Cowboy Boot Day from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at San Jacinto Plaza.

The free celebration will transform the heart of Downtown El Paso into a lively dance floor with music, two-stepping, line dancing, a line dance competition and a special performance by Fair Point Band. There also will be a line dance competition. Enter online by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
Sunset Social at Elmont Swim Club
The Elmont continues its October lineup with a mix of music, fitness and live entertainment, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, with Sunset Social: End of Summer Affair, a free event celebrating one last summer sunset at The Elmont.
The evening begins with Sunset Pilates by Pilates & Co., followed by house, dance and EDM classics from Johnny Kage, DJ Yari and G-Cue. Guests can also enjoy Sunset Sips drink specials throughout the night.

Mission Trail Music Festival
The Mission Trail Music Festival will take place from 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at the historic Socorro Mission.
This is a new music festival celebrating the El Paso Mission Trail through a full day of music, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and cultural programming.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in concert
As the world of Harry Potter celebrates 25 years of magic, the Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to the Plaza Theatre with "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" in concert, the third film in the Harry Potter series.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, James Welsch will conduct the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and the UTEP Choral Union in performing the score live while the film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen. The show will be at 7 p.m.

Trolley of Terror

Ride the El Paso Streetcar while Ghosts915 shares spooky local legends and tales of the unexplained from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 9, 16 and 23. Boarding begins at the Convention Center stop, Santa Fe and Henry Trost streets. No RSVP; seating is first come, first served. Free.
Halloween Town
The El Paso County Coliseum will have its Halloween Town Art Show and Market from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
There will be a carving contest, a costume contest, food, music, movies and various vendors and trick or treating for kids only while supplies last.
