Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico is taking aim at his General Election opponent over the price Texans have paid for his corruption.
Talarico's team announced the launch of a new ad entitled "The Check" on Thursday, Oct. 1. The 30-second television spot, part of the campaign's eight-figure ad buy, is set to air statewide with only around 40 days to go before the Nov. 3 General Election.
The ad focuses on the cost of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton's corruption scandals on Texas taxpayers and contrasts that with Talarico's record of lowering costs on housing, healthcare and property taxes.

"$12 million," Talarico says in the ad, seated at a small diner. "That’s how much Ken Paxton’s corruption has cost Texas taxpayers in legal
fees and settlements. Guys like him always expect you to pick up the check."
Talarico follows that up by touting his record of lowering costs and promises to "take on the data centers raising our costs and fight to end the wars driving up gas prices."
The new ad comes only days after the Talarico campaign launched two ads aimed at courting Black Texas voters, with one airing on television and digitally and another hitting historic Black newspapers in the state.
Paxton has so far not responded to the new ad.
