Check your freezer: Another popular product has been recalled.
Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. announced a voluntary recall on Aug. 16of a limited number of Outshine Fruit Bars because they may contain pieces of glass. The affected products were distributed to retailers nationwide.
The recall includes select 6-count packages of 2.5-ounce Outshine Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine and Black Cherry Fruit Bars.
No other Outshine products or varieties are affected, Dreyer's said in a statement.
No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recall. Consumers who purchased the affected products should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone concerned about a possible injury should contact
a healthcare provider.
"The safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause our consumers and retail customers," the company said. "We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality and to earning the trust of our consumers and customers every day."
