The Socorro Police Department is requesting the public's help in locating a missing 14-year-old, Athyana Itzavella Sanchez, also known as Hazel.
Athyana was reported missing on Oct. 16 and was last seen in the area of Pebble Hills Boulevard and Saul Kleinfeld Drive in El Paso. She has also been in the Eastlake area, family said.
She is 5 feet and 4 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds, with reddish-brown, extending past her shoulders. She was last seen wearing long black pants, a light-colored sweater and light-colored shoes.
Her father and family have been sharing the release via social media.
"As a father, I never imagined I would have to make a post like this. My daughter, Athyana Sanchez, 14 years old, has been missing since Friday, Oct. 16,
and our family is desperately asking for the community’s help. We are scared, worried, and praying every day that she is safe and that we can bring her home. No parent should have to experience the pain of not knowing where their child is or whether they are okay," posted Moises Sanchez.
Anyone who has seen Athyana or has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Socorro Police Department, 915-858-9237.
