Week 7 of the high school football season is here. Teams will play 10 regular-season games with one week off.
Here is a look at the games scheduled for this week: Thursday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 9.
This
week, Andress, Burges, Chapin, El Paso, Jefferson, Bowie, Socorro and Cathedral are idle.
Parkland (1-3) vs. El Dorado (2-2), 6:30 p.m. Thursday at SAC 2
El Dorado has scored 28 or more points in its four games and quarterback Brycen Booth has been steady as a senior leader. Parkland looks to find consistency as District 1-5A, Division 1 play begins. El Dorado 45, Parkland 35
Hanks (3-2) vs. Americas (1-4), 7:30 p.m. Thursday at SAC 1
Hanks has a powerful offense and its two losses are by a total of eight points to Canutillo and Pebble Hills. Americas is 1-4, but lost by two points to Andress, five points to Del Valle and eight points to Canutillo. This game is likely to be high scoring and will go down to the wire. Hanks 49, Americas 45

Franklin (2-3) vs. Montwood (0-6), 6:30 p.m. Friday at SAC 2
Franklin has improved a great deal since an early-season 25-point loss to Chapin and is starting to put things together on both sides of the ball. Montwood is coming off a close 27-24 loss to Coronado and is improving despite its record. Franklin 45, Montwood 31
Eastlake (4-1) vs. Pebble Hills (5-1), 7:30 p.m. Friday at SAC 1
Eastlake has had two weeks to prepare for the Spartans after a tough loss to Eastwood to begin District 1-6A play. Pebble Hills has been steady all season long against a tough schedule and is coming off a dramatic four-point win vs. Eastwood. Pebble Hills 42, Eastlake 31
San Elizario (4-2) vs. Austin (6-0), 7 p.m. Friday at Austin HS
Both teams had very successful non-district campaigns. Austin used a strong run game and talented defense to go 6-0. San Elizario has already won three more games this season in 2025 and is a playoff contender. Austin 31, San Elizario 20
Ysleta (5-1) vs. Riverside (4-1), 7 p.m. Friday at Riverside HS
What a fantastic game this will be. Ysleta has a talented offense led by QB Rodrigo Martinez and the Indians own solid wins vs. Big Spring and Fort Stockton. Riverside has impressive wins vs. Chapin and Seminole and is led by QB Carlos Rojas III. Riverside 52, Ysleta 49
Coronado (4-2) vs. Eastwood (4-2), 7 p.m. Friday at Eastwood HS
Coronado has improved significantly under head coach Mike Pry and has won two District 1-6A games by a total of six points. The Troopers look to rebound after a 35-31 loss to Pebble Hills. This game will come down to which defense can make the biggest plays at key moments. Eastwood 38, Coronado 28
Horizon (1-3) vs. Bel Air (2-3), 7 p.m. Friday at Bel Air HS
Bel Air is finding its stride under first-year coach Ariel Famaligi. Horizon is seeking consistency in District 1-5A, Division 1. Bel Air has the edge on offense, led by QB Angel Dominguez. Bel Air 49, Horizon 35
Fabens (2-4) vs. Clint (1-5), 7 p.m. Friday at Clint HS
Both teams have struggled to find consistency on offense. Clint has played a tough non-district schedule and it will rely on a tough defense. Fabens looks for a strong run game and big plays on special teams to be the difference. Clint 17, Fabens 14
Mountain View(2-4) vs. Irvin (2-4), 7 p.m. Friday at Irvin HS
The District 1-4A, Division 2 opener should be a tight one. Irvin has lost 22-20 to Austin and 14-13 vs. San Elizario. Mountain View lost 23-21 to Chaparral (NM) and 28-27 to Horizon. Should be a hard-fought game and will come down to which team executes more on offense. Irvin 28, Mountain View 24
Del Valle (3-2) vs. Canutillo (4-1), 7 p.m. Friday at Canutillo HS
Both teams had strong non-district performances, District 1-5A, Division 2 is an intriguing one and this game will go a long way in determining the district champ. Canutillo thrives on a strong run game and talented defense. Del Valle will lean on a strong passing game led by QB Eric Hernandez. Canutillo 31, Del Valle 24
Anthony (2-3) vs. Staton (1-4), 6 p.m. Friday at Van Horn HS
Anthony is playing much better and enters district play on a two-game win streak. Staton struggled in non-district play, going 1-4. Anthony 24, Staton 17
