Candidates in the Texas U.S. Senate race are taking to the airwaves for what may be the final time before Election Day.
Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico launched his last Spanish-language ad of the General Election on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Talarico is set to face Republican Ken Paxton in the Nov. 3 election and, with early voting already underway and Election Day just over a week away, the Democrat is making an effort to appeal to Spanish-speaking voters across Texas.

The latest ad, entitled "Un Sueno Compartido," features Talarico speaking Spanish directly to the camera and highlights the Texans he has met along the campaign
trail. The 30-second spot, slated to run statewide on television and digital platforms, builds on his team's eight-figure ad buy.
"We all share the same dream: a safe home, an education for our children to retire someday, and time with the people we love," Talarico says in Spanish in the new ad. "But things have to change, and that starts with your vote for the Texas we deserve."
Paxton launched his own media blitz on Saturday, Oct. 17, with the release of two new ads.
One, entitled "Ablaze," attacks Talarico over previous comments related to beef and oil. The other, entitled "Taxes," attacks Talarico over his alleged record of voting for a state income tax and opposing a prohibition on taxes on tips.
“James Talarico is a radical democratic socialist who wants to set the Texas way of life ablaze,” Paxton campaign spokeswoman Madison Cercy said in a news release. “He’d shut down our oil fields, lecture Texans about eating beef, and raise taxes on everything from your paycheck to your property. He’s a threat to our way of life and is far too extreme for Texas.”
