People can now fly non-stop from El Paso to Nashville.
El Paso International Airport has added the non-stop flight to the Music City on Southwest Airlines, starting Thursday, Oct. 1.

The flight announced in April increases the El Paso community’s access to the southeastern United States. The inaugural flight left the airport at 9:50 a.m. Oct. 1.
For those who haven't been to Nashville, here are three must dos:
- See a show at the Grand Ole Opry. It is celebrating 100 years this year and has shows planned throughout fall 2026.
- Try Nashville's famed hot chicken at Hattie B's Hot Chicken or Prince's Hot Chicken Shack.
- Check out the full-scale replica of the Parthenon at Centennial Park. Nashville built it as a tribute to the city's former nickname, "Athens of the South".
Southwest Airlines plans premium lounges in four airports for 2027
Southwest Airlines has begun construction of its first four Southwest lounges, aimed at providing guests a welcoming space to relax, work, recharge and enjoy food and beverages inspired by each city.
The Southwest lounges are expected to be completed in late 2027 at the following airports:
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
- Daniel K. Inouye (Honolulu) International Airport
- Nashville International Airport
Flyers will be able to access the Southwest lounges
by getting a new, premium Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card issued by Chase in 2027.
The lounges are just the beginning as Southwest plans to add at least seven more lounges in the next few years, according to Southwest public relations.
