Karol G has arrived in El Paso — and the Sun City's mountains are already getting her attention
The Colombian singer shared an Instagram story late Friday, Sept. 4, from Sun Bowl Stadium, joking about how the surrounding mountains appeared to line up perfectly with her stage, which features a towering rocky wall.
Karol G is bringing her “Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour” to El Paso, with Becky G joining as a special guest. The two will perform Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5-6, at the Sun Bowl.
“El Paso, Texas — we made it,” she said on Instagram.

According to The Arizona Republic, Karol G’s recent concert at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix dazzled concertgoers. Fireworks, towering flames, dazzling light displays and cascading water effects accompanied
different songs as the massive stage transformed throughout the show.
The main set, built around a towering rocky wall with a pyramid-like structure at its center, continuously changed through projections, colors and special effects.
El Paso concertgoers may remember fans climbing the mountains surrounding the Sun Bowl to catch a glimpse of Coldplay when the band performed there. Frontman Chris Martin even acknowledged the spectators from the stage.
This time, however, officials are warning fans not to attempt it.
Climbing the mountains to watch the concerts is strictly prohibited. Security and law enforcement will monitor the perimeter, and those who do not comply could face trespassing violations.
In addition to the massive rocky set, Karol G’s concerts will feature lasers, low fog, haze, flames, pyrotechnics and strobe effects.
