El Paso is drying out after several rounds of rain and thunderstorms fueled by tropical moisture from the remnants ofHurricane Polo.
The rain brought some of the wettest weather of the month to the Borderland, with rainfall totals varying considerably across El Paso and surrounding areas.
The National Weather Service is no longer forecasting additional rain for El Paso today, Wednesday, Sept. 30.
How much rain did El Paso receive?
El Paso International Airport recorded 0.09 inches of rain Tuesday, Sept. 29, according to the National Weather Service. However, rainfall varied widely across the area, with reports up to .98 inches.
That followed 0.72 inches Monday, Sept. 28, bringing the airport's rainfall total from the two days to 0.81 inches.

surrounding areas, with some locations receiving more than the official airport measurement.
El Paso has recorded 3.40 inches of rain in September, which is 1.94 inches above its normal September rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
How much rain did Las Cruces receive?
Las Cruces also saw widely varying rainfall totals, with observers reporting 0.14 to 1.60 inches across the area, according to the National Weather Service.
Within Las Cruces, reported totals included 0.79 inches 1.5 miles east-northeast of the city, 0.90 inches 1 mile south, 0.92 inches 1.7 miles west-northwest and 1.02 inches 4.1 miles north. A station 12.4 miles northwest of Las Cruces reported 1.60 inches.
The rain was part of the same surge of tropical moisture that moved north from Mexico and interacted with a larger weather system over the Southwest.
No additional rain is expected in the El Paso-Las Cruces area today as the moisture moves away from the region.
Is any more rain coming to El Paso?
The latest National Weather Service forecast calls for mostly dry conditions across the El Paso area Wednesday, although a few light showers could develop as the remnants of the weather system move east.
Most locations are expected to stay dry, with the chance of rain becoming even lower Thursday through Saturday. Low-end shower chances return to the mountains, particularly the Sacramento Mountains, during the weekend.
