A dairy-free ice cream sold nationwide is being recalledover concerns that some containers may have foreign objects.
Danone U.S. is voluntarily recalling certain pints of So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert with best-by dates on or before April 3, 2028, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The company said the potential foreign material was found in the product’s cashew inclusions and may include “small stones and other hard objects.”
The issue was discovered after consumer complaints, and the FDA has been notified of the voluntary recall. Danone said it is working with retailers to remove affected products from store shelves. Products not included in the recall remain available for sale, and newly
shipped products are not affected, according to the company.
The recalled dessert is sold in pint containers and can be identified by specific best-by dates and product codes. No other So Delicious Dairy Free flavors, codes or products are included in the recall, the FDA said.
Consumers who purchased affected product should not consume it. For a replacement coupon or refund, contact the So Delicious Dairy Free Consumer Care Line at 1-833-367-8975.
