Tuesday, Sept. 15, is 915 Day, a day to show much love for our beloved Sun City. 915 is the city's area code.
And it's easy to celebrate with local businesses offering fun ways to mark the occasion, from drink specials to special offers on tattoos, T-shirts, and other merchandise throughout the week.
Here is how to enjoy 915 Day around El Paso.
Nueve Uno Cinco to offer $9.15 signature cocktails
Tuesday, Nueve Uno Cinco, at 218 W. Franklin Ave., will celebrate its first 9/15 Day with $9.15 signature cocktails, complimentary food from 6 to 8 p.m., live music, hourly giveaways and a 9:15 p.m. celebration toast. Performance by Jezzika Sax.
The night continues with mariachileading into midnight and El Grito, making it a fitting celebration of both the restaurant’s name and the city that inspired it.
Reservations online: $25, including three drink tickets.
The Good Life Tattoo Parlor to offer 915 tattoos
The Good Life Tattoo Parlor, at 4131 Fred Wilson Road, will have a flash sale on tattoos for 915 Day from noon to midnight Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The business will offer various designs, ranging from $15 to $100. Designs include an outline of Texas with 915 inside, as well as other illustrations featuring the 915 area code.
915 Day to also celebrate El Paso Lowriders
Lowrider enthusiasts and car clubs are invited to celebrate 915 El Paso Lowrider Day with a special stop at El Paso City Hall, 300 N. Campbell St., at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15. There will be mariachis, matachines and more.
El Paso Chihuahuas celebrate with 915-themed promotion
The El Paso Chihuahuas are celebrating 915 Day on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Southwest University Park when they play the Oklahoma City Comets. As part of the celebration, 1,500 fans will receive a special 915 Day item. The game is set for 6:35 p.m.
Tickets are available at the stadium box office and online.
Chuco Relic to celebrate 915 on Sunday, Sept. 20
Chuco Relic, a local El Paso store, will cool merch and will celebrate 915 Day from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3750 Gateway Blvd. East with more than 40 vendors.
The store will give away 100 free limited-edition shirts, thanks to Raiz FCU. People are encouraged to bring a tote and staff will print on site.
The event also will feature four live bands including Headless Chickens, Lucha Libre and Reliquia shirts for $5.. There will be $9.15 off all tees.
