A 36-year-old man died performing maintenance work on heavy machinery after the equipment fell on him at a construction site in Northwest El Paso, authorities said.
El Paso Police Department identified the man as Ramiro Aaron Sanchez of West El Paso.
Sanchez was fatally injured in the industrial incident about 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at a construction site in the 7200 block of Paseo Del Norte Boulevard, police spokeswoman Stephanie Shields said in a news release.

El Paso Police Department Crimes Against Persons unit investigators determined Sanchez was doing maintenance on the heavy machinery when the equipment fell on him.
No foul play is suspected. No further information
was released as police continue to investigate the incident. The death happened in a dirt lot next to the Sage at Cimarron medical office complex, which is under construction.
U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) responded to the site and is also investigating the incident, the news release states.
