El Paso County sheriff's investigators arrested a driver accused of causing an estimated $5,000 in damages in a violent rock-throwing"road rage" confrontation in the Eastlake area.
Deputies with the Special Operations Unit arrested Edgar Sanchez, 32, in connection with a "road rage" case on Oct. 9 on Eastlake Boulevard at the Rojas Drive intersection, a news release by sheriff's spokeswoman Priscilla I. Contreras stated.
Portions of the roadway confrontation were recorded on bystander cell phone video and shared on social media.

The confrontation erupted after a traffic dispute between two drivers about 1 p.m. Oct. 9 on Eastlake Boulevard, the
Sheriff's Office stated.
During an argument, Sanchez allegedly picked up and threw several rocks, breaking the windows of a BMW and striking a 27-year-old man in the back, causing visible injuries, the Sheriff's Office stated.
The video shows what appear to be broken pieces of a vehicle on the street during the dispute.
An investigation by the Special Operations Unit, known as SOU, obtained additional video footage and evidence that led to the arrest of Sanchez, officials said.

Deputies arrested Sanchez late Saturday night, Oct. 10, at a home on Mill Hill Court in Horizon City, sheriff's officials said.
Sanchez was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a charge of criminal mischief causing more than $2,500 in damage, making it a state jail felony. He was booked into the El Paso County jail on a total bond of $15,000.
