Who should be the El Paso Girls Athlete of the Week? Cast your vote

With the 2026-27 high school sports seasonapproaching, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to select El Paso's top athletes and teams.

This week, readers can vote for the Girls Athlete of the Week in volleyball, wrestling and cross country for the week of Sept. 22-26. Here are this week's nominees.

Here are this week's nominees:

• Hailey Delgado, Eastwood wrestling. Delgado took first at the Who's No. 1 event in Oklahoma at 120 pounds.
• Leona Palmer, El Paso High volleyball. In win vs. Jefferson, she had 18 assists, six digs and four aces.
• Stephanie Lozano, Franklin volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 31 assists and 13 digs.
• Difanny Soltero, Coronado volleyball. In win vs. Pebble Hills, she had 6 kills 18 assists 16 digs.
• Camila Huerta, El Dorado volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 18 kills and 11 digs.
• Giselle Gandara, Eastlake volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 35 kills and 28 digs.
• Isabella Garcia, Burges volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 23 kills and in one match, she had 11 digs.
• Alena Suber, Andress volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 15 kills and four solo blocks.
• Shivannah Vbromell, San Elizario volleyball. In two matches last week, she had 25 kills.
• Kylie Vega, Eastwood cross country. Vega placed fifth at the Desert Twilight event in Arizona.
