The Irvin Rockets continue to show improvement in 2026 after making the Class 4A playoffs in 2025.
On Friday, Sept. 11, the Rockets controlled the first half, then held off a second half rally by Jefferson
to win, 23-19. Irvin improves to 2-1 and Jefferson falls to 1-2.
Irvin led 21-7 at halftime. The Rockets scoured the first 14 points of the game.
The Silver Foxes drove to the Irvin 12-yard line and had a chance to win on the final play of the game but Davion Arnette's pass in the end zone fell incomplete.
