Week 10 of the high school football season is here. Teams will play 10 regular-season games with one week off.
Here is a look at the games scheduled for this week, on Thursday, Aug. 27 and Friday, Aug. 28.
Americas vs. Canutillo, 7 p.m. Thursday at Canutillo HS
It should be a solid matchup between two solid programs. The difference could come down to whichever defense is steadier. Canutillo 30, Americas 24
Montwood vs. Hanks, 7 p.m. Thursday at Hanks HS
This should be a fun game to watch between two talented offenses. The team that has the ball last may win this game. Hanks 35, Montwood 31
Austin vs. El Paso High, 7 p.m. Friday at El Paso High
This should be a good game. Austin is physical on defense and has a strong run game. El Paso has some size on both lines and a strong run game. Austin 27, El Paso High 20.
Bowie vs. Jefferson, 7 p.m. Friday at Jefferson HS
Jefferson has a veteran team back and some good playmakers at the skill positions. Jefferson 38,
Bowie 24
Bel Air vs. Eastwood, 7 p.m. Friday at Eastwood HS
These Troopers are talented on offense and will be tough to stop. Eastwood 49, Bel Air 28
Pebble Hills vs. Midland, 7 p.m. Friday at Eastwood HS
A big game for the Spartans to start the season. Pebble Hills defeated Midland High in 2025. Pebble Hills 28, Midland High 21.
Del Valle vs. Eastlake, 7:30 p.m. Friday at SAC 1
Eastlake will be solid on offense. Del Valle is talented but young. Eastlake 35, Del Valle 21.
Ysleta vs. Big Spring, 6 p.m. Friday at Big Spring HS
A big test for the Indians on the road to start the season. Ysleta 31, Big Spring 24.
Las Cruces Centennial at Andress, 7 p.m. Friday at Andress HS
The Eagles look to start a highly anticipated season with a solid game vs. Las Cruces Centennial. Andress 42, Las Cruces Centennial 28.
Chapin at Franklin, 7 p.m. Friday at Franklin HS
Franklin and Chapin have key pieces to replace from 2025, but both teams are talented. It should be a hard-fought game. Franklin 31, Chapin 24.
El Dorado at Coronado, 7 p.m. Friday at Coronado HS
This should be one of the more intriguing games in the city. Will go down to the wire. El Dorado 34, Coronado 31.
Parkland at Riverside, 7 p.m. Friday at Riverside HS
The Rangers feature UTEP commit Carlos Rojas, who is the team's quarterback. Parkland looks to be better in 2026. Riverside 35, Parkland 28.
Burges vs. Socorro, 6:30 p.m. Friday at SAC 2
Both teams are expected to be better in 2026, but the Bulldogs might have more firepower on offense at this point in the season. Socorro 38, Burges 28.
Horizon vs. Pecos, 7 p.m. Friday at Pecos HS
The Scorpions have a good road test to start the season and look to use a strong run game to their advantage. Horizon 24, Pecos 20.
Anthony vs. San Elizario, 7 p.m. Friday at San Elizario HS
Both teams look to kick-start their season with a win. Both teams have strong offensive players. San Elizario 33, Anthony 26.
Fabens vs. Van Horn, 7 p.m. Friday at Van Horn HS
The Wildcats look to start the Mike Saucedo era with a win on the road. Fabens 21, Van Horn 14.
Chaparral vs. Mountain View, 7 p.m. Friday at Mountain View HS
Mountain View is expected to compete for a district title in Class 4A. Chaparral opened its season last week with a win vs. Hatch Valley. Mountain View 28, Chaparral 21.
Clint vs. Andrews, 7 p.m. Friday at Andrews HS
Clint always challenges itself with tough non-district games and Andrews is a stern test. Andrews 34, Clint 27.
Irvin vs. Santa Teresa, 7 p.m. Friday at Santa Teresa HS
The Rockets look to build on the momentum of 2025 with a good start to 2026. Irvin 28, Santa Teresa 21.
Cathedral vs. NMMI, 7 p.m. Friday at Canutillo HS
The Fighting Irish are improved and have lots of experience returning.Cathedral 27, NMMI 20.
