Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and while you may already be planning what's on the dinner table, there's another question to consider: What will the weather be like?
The Old Farmer's Almanac has released its Thanksgiving weather forecast, and conditions on Thursday, Nov. 26 are expected to vary across the country. While some parts of the nation could see snowfall and colder temperatures, Texas is looking at a warmer holiday, with rain possible in some areas.
In fact, some of the warmest conditions are expected in the Desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest, and Hawaii, according to the Almanac.
The Almanac notes that while the Lone Star State will see sunshine, parts of South Texas, could see some rainy conditions.
"Oklahoma and northern Texas
can expect sunshine and warmth on Thanksgiving. Southern Texas will also be warm, but with a chance of showers," the Almanac states on its forecast.
For the Desert Southwest, which includes portions of New Mexico, Arizona and West Texas, the forecast is looking particularly pleasant, with lovely weather expected for the Thanksgiving holiday.
"Expect plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures at the end of November—just right for enjoying Thanksgiving dinner and all the fixings," the Almanac writes.
While The Old Farmer’s Almanac’s long-range forecast offers an early glimpse of what to expect this Thanksgiving, weather conditions could change as the holiday draws closer, the publication cautions.
