The
Franklin High School volleyball team is starting to put all the pieces together for a strong run at a district title.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the visiting Cougars, who have 10 seniors on the roster, used a powerful offense to defeat Montwood, 25-17, 25-19. 25-14. Franklin's hitters did much of the damage led by Mia Amador, Gabriela Ayala and Isabelle Pino.
Tuesday's win pushed Franklin's overall record to 18-10 and its District 1-6A record to 2-0.
One of Franklin's wins this year was against Las Cruces High, the defending Class 5A state champion in New Mexico.
