What is the story about?
Major
flooding hit the Borderland in 2006 when 3.52 inches of rain was recorded from July 31 to Aug. 1, and up to 10 inches of rain that week.
The storm led to flooding in neighborhoods, closed Interstate 10 and caused more than $200 million in property damage. The Rio Grande reached its highest level since 1912.
