The one-time payments are intended to help pay for Medicare Part B premiums, according
to a White House fact sheet.
Most eligible seniors should receive the payments via direct deposit. Those without direct deposit will get a check sent to the address registered with Medicare.
The latest round of checks is separate from the $500 checks from the Trump administration announced last week, money President Donald Trump said was overcharged through the Affordable Care Act's federal exchange for buying health insurance.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump announced "checks" will be sent to more than 20 million "wonderful seniors to help pay for their Medicare Part B premiums.
"This money will come from the Medicare Improvement Fund, a pointless 'Slush Fund' that has only been used by Dumocrats in Congress to pay for the Waste, Fraud and Abuse for their Special Interest friends, and drive up Healthcare costs."
Who is getting $90 payments from federal government?
The $90 payments will go to more than 20 million Medicare enrollees to help pay for their Medicare Part B premiums.
Most Medicare Part B enrollees are eligible for the payments, according to a White House fact sheet.
"Those whose premiums are already paid by Medicaidor who pay an Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount do not qualify."
When will the $90 Medicare 'checks' be sent out?
Most eligible seniors will receive the payment via direct deposit in early October.
For those who do do not direct deposit set up, checks will be mailed out in early October to the mailing address registered with Medicare.
How to check on eligibility or status of Medicare Part B payment
Seniors can call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) to check on their eligibility for the premium rebate.
Beneficiaries who want to check on the status of their payment should call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213.

What is Medicare Part B?
Medicare Part Bcovers physicians’ services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment, and certain other medical and health services not covered by Medicare Part A, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
How much is the Medicare Part B premium?
The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees is $202.90 for 2026.
The 2027 premium has not yet been released.
