No-frills grocery chain Aldi continues to expand throughout Florida with breakneck speed. Four more locations are opening in September in Apopka, Immokalee, Madeira Beach, and Spring Hill, along with the two that already opened this month in Crestview and Miami.
Another is coming to Daytona Beach Shores in October, part of the discount grocer chain's ongoing growth plan for the Sunshine State. At each grand opening, early shoppers can score free giveaways and chances for hefty gift cards.
That will bring the total number of Aldi stores in Florida to more than 330, the most of any state. Many of the new locations are converted Winn-Dixie stores acquired during Aldi's brief ownership of the grocery chain's parent company.

Nationwide, Aldi plans to open more than 180 stores this year as part of its goal of reaching 3,200 U.S. locations by the end of 2028. There are more on the way in Florida, in varying degrees of completion.
The company, which is marking its 50th anniversary in the United States, has attracted shoppers looking for lower grocery bills. In its 2026 price leadership report, Aldi said customers can save up to 22% by purchasing its private-label products instead of competing store brands.
Morning Consult recently ranked Aldi as the nation's "Most Trusted Grocery Store."

What shoppers can get at Aldi grand openings
Aldi offers giveaways at every new store opening.
The first 200 people in line receive an eco-friendly bag of Aldi merchandise along with a golden ticket that could be worth up to a $100 Aldi gift card.
Employees will also hand out free Aldi shopping totes throughout the day, while supplies last.
What makes Aldi different?
Aldi's business model centers, aggressively, on keeping costs low.
Customers place a quarter deposit to get a shopping cart and they get the quarter back when returning it. Shoppers bag their own groceries using their own bags, bags they can buy at the checkout, or empty cardboard boxes.
The stores have no in-store deli, bakery or pharmacy. They carry fewer variety of brands than most grocery stores, focusing on budget‑friendly staples such as milk, eggs, bread, produce and pantry basics.
About 90% of the products sold are Aldi-owned brands.
The retailer is also known for "Aldi Finds," a rotating selection of limited-time discounted merchandise that can range from kitchen gadgets and home decor to outdoor equipment.
More grocery growth across Florida
Aldi is not the only grocery chain expanding in Florida, eager to serve its rapidly growing population.
Publixhas continued opening locations across the state. Its most recent store opened in Apollo Beach, and another is scheduled to open Sept. 24 in Apopka.
The Winn-Dixie Company is making a comeback in Florida with redesigned stores. Its newest location opened Aug. 15 in Keystone Heights.
Additional expansion plans have been announced by chains including Sprouts Farmers Market and Trader Joe's.
