An ultra-low-cost airline serving Sarasota Bradenton International Airport has extended its flight schedule.
Houston-based Avelo Airlines recently extended its schedule through April 20, 2027, allowing travelers to book spring trips.
The extension also covers five other Central Florida airports. Avelo did not specify which routes will operate from SRQ throughout the newly opened booking period.
Avelo said 12 destinations are available from its six Central Florida airports, which also include airports in Daytona Beach, Fort Myers, Lakeland, Orlando and Tampa.
The destinations are:
- Aguadilla, Puerto Rico
- Atlanta
- Charlotte and Concord, North Carolina
- Dallas and McKinney, Texas
- Detroit
- Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Nashville
- New Haven, Connecticut
- Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware
- Rochester, New York
- San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Wilmington, North Carolina
"We've extended Avelo's Central Florida flight schedule through April 20, 2027, so travelers have even more runway to lock in our affordable fares and start planning,” Trevor
Yealy, Avelo’s head of network and revenue, said in a prepared statement. "Whether it's a spontaneous weekend trip or that spring vacation you've been eyeing, we're focused on making travel convenient and reliable so you can just show up and go. From sun-soaked beaches to buzzing cities full of food and culture, your next adventure is just a nonstop flight away.”
The airline advertised one-way fares starting at $42.
The promotional fares must be booked by Sept. 9. Seats and eligible travel dates are limited, and additional charges may apply for baggage, assigned seats and other optional services.
Avelo began flying in April 2021 and now serves 37 destinations with a fleet of 16 Boeing 737 aircraft, according to the airline.
