No canals. No gondolas. No centuries-old architecture. But Florida's Venice is getting some recognition in a recent Chili's campaign.
The popular Tex-Mex chain announced it was combining two fan favorites to create the new Chicken Parm Big Crispy, a variation of its new chicken sandwich topped with a mozzarella stick.
To celebrate, Chili's is bringing its new dish to Venice, Florence and Rome. However, they know the Chicken Parm isn't actually Italian, and neither is Chili's, so three restaurants in Kentucky, Georgia and Florida are giving guests an exclusive first taste before it is available nationwide.

Here's where you can enjoy your not-actually-Italian sandwich in a not-actually-Italian city.
Where can I get the new Chili's Big Crispy sandwich in Florida?
The Chicken Parm Big Crispy
is currently being served at the Venice location at 4289 S. Tamiami Trail.
In a press release, the company said the three Chili's restaurants will also offer limited-time surprises, such as commemorative plates for the first 150 guests who try the sandwich at each location.
What exactly is the new Big Crispy chicken sandwich?
The Chicken Parm Big Crispy sandwich brings together two guest favorites: Chili's Big Crispy chicken sandwich and Fried Mozzarella layered with marinara sauce.
Chili's says the sandwich is served with fries, white cheddar mac & cheese, and sides of marinara and Chili's house-made ranch.
Don't live near the three restaurants? Don't worry, it will go nationwide soon
Not in Florence, Rome or Venice? Don't worry! Starting Oct. 20, guests nationwide can try the Chicken Parm Big Crispy.
Chili's plans expansion through 2029. Any coming to Florida?
Brinker International, Chili’s parent company, plans to add 20 to 30 restaurants a year through fiscal 2029 as part of a broader growth strategy. The company expects its restaurant count to increase 2% to 3% annually and, according to The Independent and Restaurant Drive, which cites Brinker Chief Financial Officer Mika Ware, it has identified as many as 300 potential sites for future locations.
As of Oct. 15, the chain hasn't announced any new restaurants. According to USA TODAY, Florida is one of its strongest markets, but it's also looking at smaller markets to grow.
