Ultra-low-cost Allegiant Air is launching its new premium seating option, called Allegiant First, at one Florida airport starting in March 2027.
Travelers on select flights connecting Punta Gorda Airport (PGA) in Florida with Flint, Michigan (FNT), South Bend, Indiana (SNB), and Appleton, Wisconsin (ATW), will be greeted with a new seating class of eight seats, configured two-by-two in the front of the carrier's newly delivered Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The seats will feature a five-inch incline, calf rests, and an adjustable headrest, and about 7 more inches of legroom, according to a July 2026 release.

The premium seating is in addition to the airline's Allegiant Extra service, and also includes the complimentary beverage
service that Allegiant added to all flights on Aug. 1.
Allegiant's upgrade is the latest in a movement of low-cost airlines to offer premium services and perks. Last year, Frontier Airlines added UpFront Plus seating with extra legroom and an empty middle seat at the front of the plane, along with other elite services. JetBlue is preparing to roll out its own first-class experience, called BlueFirst, for aircraft that don't already have the carrier's Mint service.
Allegiant First will be available on 23 aircraft once it is fully rolled out, the carrier said in an email. Tickets are available now at allegiantair.com.
Allegiant adding more Florida flights
If you're planning trips a little sooner than that, Allegiant is also adding nearly 30 new and returning seasonal flights to Florida airports in the second half of 2026, and nine new nonstop routes starting February 2027.
The Las Vegas-based carrier is known for connecting small to mid-size cities to popular leisure destinations.
