A 41-year-old Sarasota man died Saturday night after losing control of his motorcycle on Interstate 75 in Charlotte County and being struck by another vehicle whose driver did not stop, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred about 11:20 p.m. Oct. 10 in the northbound lanes near mile marker 163, south of U.S. 17.

A vehicle traveling behind the motorcycle struck the man, who had come to rest in the inside lane, troopers said. The driver continued north without stopping.
The Sarasota man's name was not included in the release. Investigators are
working to identify the other vehicle and its driver.
