Two drivers were critically injured and three children suffered minor injuries Sunday afternoon in a two-car crash on State Road 70 in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 6 west of Mobley Pond Lane, FHP said.
A 42-year-old Archer man was driving a 2010 Honda Accord west on State Road 70 when he entered the eastbound lane while navigating a curve, according to FHP.
The front left of his car collided with the front left of an eastbound 2021 Honda Accord driven by a 42-year-old Boynton Beach man, FHP said. Both vehicles rotated after the collision and came to rest in a grassy ditch.
The two drivers were taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Three girls from Boynton Beach — ages
7, 10 and 15 — were passengers in the eastbound car. They were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to FHP.
FHP did not identify anyone involved in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.

Two children, ages 2 and 4, were inside a car that reached more than 120 mph during an alleged street race on Interstate 75 early Sept. 5, according to FHP.
Troopers arrested both drivers, while the father of the two children also was charged with child neglect. A woman accused of signaling the start of the race was charged with participating in a street race, FHP said.
