Results for Sarasota County Commission Districts 2 and 4, City Commission, Sarasota School Board Districts 1, 4 and 5, Sarasota County Charter Review Board Districts 1, 3 and 5, Sarasota Hospital Board, Florida State House, Senate and U.S. House races in the Florida primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026.
In Florida primary elections, the winner is the candidate with the most votes, even if they don't win an outright majority.
Only contested races, with more than one candidate on the ballot, are included, and only the top three vote-getters are displayed. Before actual results are released by supervisors of elections, the results boxes may be incomplete or only show the top 3 candidates in order and, before any results are tallied, may not

Winners of the Republican and Democratic primary races will proceed to the general election, to be held on Nov. 3, 2026.
