A woman pumping gas at a Florida gas station was doused by gasoline and set on fire by a stranger,police said.
The 41-year-old victim was filling up her Volvo SUV about 8 p.m. Sept. 10 when she was approached by Eleanor Crawford, 41. Crawford deliberately ignited the gasoline with a lighter, St. Petersburg police stated.
The victim was transported to a hospital’s trauma center with serious injuries, including second-degree burns.
“The suspect and victim didn’t know each other, and the motive is unclear at this stage of the investigation,” according to a statement from police.

Officers located Crawford a couple blocks away from the gas station.
She is facing charges including attempted murder, arson charges and resisting arrest. Crawford remained
